A major shift in sponsorship dynamics has emerged for the upcoming Iowa IndyCar Race Weekend, with Sheffield-based farm equipment giant Sukup Manufacturing stepping into the spotlight. The company, renowned globally for its grain storage and drying solutions, is set to become the title sponsor of this prestigious motorsport event. Scheduled for July 12 and 13 at the Iowa Speedway, this marks another milestone in a series that has consistently returned to the 7/8-mile short track in Newton for multiple races over six years.

Building on a history of involvement, Sukup’s partnership with IndyCar extends beyond mere sponsorship. Previously an associate sponsor during race weekends, the company has also supported the Indy NXT series, which serves as a stepping stone for future IndyCar drivers. CEO Steve Sukup highlighted the alignment between IndyCar's commitment to renewable fuels and Sukup's agricultural roots, noting that the racing series uses 100% renewable fuel since 2023, emphasizing innovation and sustainability. “Our collaboration underscores the potential of agricultural products in high-performance settings,” Sukup expressed, reinforcing the mutual values shared by both entities.

This transition reflects the evolving nature of corporate support within the motorsport community. Following several years of sponsorship by the Iowa Corn Growers Association and more recently Hy-Vee, Sukup's entry signals a strong regional presence. General Manager Kristin Stepinski emphasized the opportunity to highlight Iowa's thriving agricultural and manufacturing sectors through this partnership. Tickets for the event will be available starting April 15, signaling renewed excitement for fans eager to witness world-class racing and innovation on display. This partnership not only celebrates technological advancements but also promotes sustainable practices that resonate deeply with communities across the state of Iowa.
