Oviya Sivakumar, a sophomore at Medway High School, has been recognized with a Gold Level President's Volunteer Service Award for dedicating an impressive 107 hours to the Medway Village Food Pantry over the past year. Oviya's commitment to the pantry's operations has been truly remarkable, as she has taken on the primary responsibility of managing the pantry's clients' orders - a task that previously required two people to handle. Oviya's level-headedness and helpfulness have been instrumental in ensuring the smooth running of the pantry. She has demonstrated an exceptional ability to juggle multiple competing demands during her volunteer hours, always willing to step in and lend a hand wherever needed. Her dedication and selflessness have not gone unnoticed, and the Medway Village Food Pantry is grateful for her invaluable contributions.

Aadhavan Sivakumar: A Steady and Capable Presence

Aadhavan Sivakumar, Oviya's older brother and a junior at Medway High School, has also been recognized for his outstanding volunteer service. He has earned a Bronze Level President's Volunteer Service Award for dedicating 103.5 hours to the Medway Village Food Pantry over the past year.Aadhavan has been a steady and capable presence at the pantry, often assisting clients by helping them bring bags to their cars and providing attentive support to those shopping in the gluten-free section. His willingness to help and adapt to new tasks without hesitation has been a valuable asset to the pantry's operations.

Dedication Beyond the Call of Duty

Both Oviya and Aadhavan have gone above and beyond in their volunteer efforts, consistently arriving before 8 a.m. to open the pantry and regularly staying after their morning shift has ended to help restock the shelves.
