Union County is gearing up for a series of exciting vehicle-themed gatherings in April and May. From car shows to motorcycle meets, these events promise to bring together enthusiasts from across the region. The season kicks off with "Cruise for a Cause," weekly charity cruises starting on May 12. Additionally, classic car aficionados will enjoy the Classic Car Show hosted by retired public servants, alongside other fundraisers supporting veterans and local communities.
Beginning in mid-May, the "Cruise for a Cause" event will transform Aviation Plaza in Linden into a vibrant hub each Monday evening. This gathering not only showcases an array of vehicles but also raises funds for the N.J. Institute for Disabilities. As part of the spring festivities, the Retired Policeman’s and Fireman’s Association will host their annual Classic Car Show and Street Fair in Kenilworth on May 18. Visitors can expect a day filled with nostalgia as they admire vintage automobiles lining Kenilworth Boulevard.
On another note, the Curb Appeal Car Club has planned its Veterans Fundraiser Car Show for April 27. Located at the Union County Vo-Tech parking lot in Scotch Plains, this event combines community spirit with automotive admiration. Attendees are encouraged to register early for this occasion, which includes a rain date should inclement weather arise. Similarly, Hillside will welcome participants to its Bike, Car, Truck, and Jeep Meet & Show later that afternoon. This diverse exhibition offers something for everyone, whether it be motorcycles or jeeps.
These gatherings reflect Union County's commitment to fostering both camaraderie among enthusiasts and support for worthy causes. Through these events, residents and visitors alike have the opportunity to celebrate shared interests while contributing positively to their communities. With multiple opportunities to engage throughout the coming months, there's never been a better time to join the fun and make a difference.
