Puig, a leading force in the Spanish beauty and fragrance industry, has announced impressive growth during the crucial holiday quarter. The company's net sales for the final three months of the year soared to €1.36 billion, significantly outpacing the €1.30 billion anticipated by market analysts. This remarkable performance underscores the pivotal role that the holiday season plays in driving revenue, particularly for prestige fragrances, which account for nearly half of Puig's annual sales during this period.

The fragrance and fashion divisions were the standout performers for Puig, with brands like Carolina Herrera and Jean Paul Gaultier experiencing robust growth. Despite challenges in the makeup sector, where sales dipped due to a temporary product recall, the overall financial health of the company remained strong. The makeup segment faced a 7.2% decline, primarily attributed to the suspension of shipments for Charlotte Tilbury’s Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray in December. However, normal operations have since resumed, ensuring continued momentum.

Puig's success in 2024 was not limited to the holiday quarter. For the full year, the company reported a revenue of €4.79 billion, marking an 11% increase from the previous year. Unlike some of its global competitors who struggled with demand in China, Puig thrived thanks to its robust presence in Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas, regions that contribute over 85% of its total sales. This strategic focus on key markets highlights Puig's adaptability and resilience in a competitive industry, setting a benchmark for sustainable growth and innovation.
