A Trifecta of Accolades for "Anything Goes"

Solano College's production of the beloved musical "Anything Goes" was the standout performer at the Arty Awards, earning three prestigious accolades. Christine Mani, the artistic director, was recognized for her exceptional direction in the "Director, Adult Musical" category. Liz Andrews, the choreographer, was honored for her innovative and captivating dance routines in the "Choreography, Adult Musical" category. Sheena Beeson, who portrayed the role of Moonface Martin, was awarded the "Supporting Actress, Adult Musical" title for her remarkable performance.In her acceptance speech, Andrews expressed her immense pride in the cast, acknowledging their unwavering commitment and tireless efforts. "This cast was the hardest working group of people I've worked with in a long time, and I'm so proud of them," she said, according to a press release from Solano Community College.Beeson, who in addition to her role in "Anything Goes" also won "Director, High School Musical" and "Set Design, High School Musical" for her work with Armijo High School's production of "Seussical," shared her enthusiasm for the opportunity to showcase her acting talents. "I don't often get to be myself, acting on the stage. I'm often doing all the other stuff," she said, according to the press release. "I love this show, and when Christine Mani was going to be putting it on, oh my God you guys, I jumped at that opportunity! And as Moonface Martin, it couldn't have been a better fit."
