The Prestigious Snowball Derby - A Racing Spectacle

Wednesday, December 4th

Officials call time is at 8:00, followed by the tech inspector meeting at 8:30. Rig parking begins at 9:00, and the SBD & SF Tech Opens at approximately 11:00. Snowball Practice and Qualifying Tire Draw take place at 12:00, followed by the Snowflake Practice and Qualifying Tire Draw at 1:30. Cones are set up at the SBD & SF Tech Line at 5:00, along with the safety communications meeting. The Snowball/Snowflake Qualifying Draw and Green Flag Party & Chili for Charity round out the day.

Thursday, December 5th

The tech inspector meeting starts at 7:30, followed by the pits opening at 8:00 and the track services meeting at 8:30. The SBD & SF Driver's Meeting is at 9:00, and there are 1-hour practice sessions for SBD & SF from 10:00 to 4:00. The PT, SP, and PS Driver's Meeting is at 4:00, followed by 30-minute practice sessions from 5:00 to 6:30. Single-car qualifying for PT, SP, and PS takes place at 6:45, and tech closes for late model rechecks at 7:00. Pre-Race Festivities and the Gulf Real Estate Group Pro Truck 50, The Dock Sportsman 50, and Lloyd's Glass Pure Stock 35 races complete the evening.

Friday, December 6th

The tech inspector meeting is at 7:30, followed by the pits opening at 8:00 and the SBD & SF Driver's Meeting at 9:00. The track services meeting is at 9:30, and there are practice sessions for SBD from 10:00 to 10:45 and for SF from 10:45 to 11:30. SBD air cleaners must be in tech by 11:00, and the Modifieds Driver's Meeting is at Turn 1 at 11:30. Modifieds practice is from 12:00 to 1:00, and tech closes for late models at 12:00. SBD tires are moved to tech at 12:00, followed by more SBD practice at 1:00 and SF practice at 2:00. Mods move to pre-qualifying tech at 2:00, and mod qualifying (lock 28) begins at 3:00. SBD cars move to pre-qualifying tech by group at 3:00, and crown stocks enter the pits at 4:00. The crown stocks drivers meeting is at Turn 3 at 5:00, followed by Snowball Derby qualifying at 6:00 and pre-race festivities at 7:45. The Crown Stock Practice and Group Qualifying, along with the Modifieds of Mayhem 75 and Story & Bleich Crown Stock Innovational 25 races, conclude the day.

Saturday, December 7th

The tech inspector meeting is at 7:30, followed by the pits opening at 8:00 and the SF tires moving to tech at 8:30. The SBD & SF Driver's Meeting is at 9:00, and the track services meeting is at 9:30. The Snowball Race Tire Drawing for the top 30 takes place at 9:30, followed by SF practice from 10:00 to 11:00. SF air cleaners must be turned in at 10:00, and there are practice sessions for Outlaws from 11:00 to 11:45 and for SBD from 11:45 to 12:45. Outlaw qualifying (lock 28) is at 1:30, followed by SF qualifying (lock top 30), the SF Qualifier (50 Laps, transfer 4), the SBD Qualifier (50 Laps, transfer 4), the LCQ Cars Draw For Race Tires, and the Outlaws B-Main (if necessary) at 3:00. The Outlaws Driver's Meeting is at 6:00, followed by the Allen Turner Snowflake 100 and the Faith Chapel Outlaw 50 races.

Sunday, December 8th

Pits open for team members only at 7:00, followed by the pits opening to the public at 8:00 and the tech inspector meeting at 9:00. All haulers must be out of the infield by 9:00, and the SBD Driver's Meeting is at 9:30. Pre-tech opens after the drivers meeting at 10:00, followed by the worship service at 11:30. All cars must be through tech at 11:30, and the track services meeting is also at 11:30. Engine warmups and cars move to the grid at 11:30, followed by the 2024 SBD Class Photo and pre-race festivities. The 57th Annual Snowball Derby (300 Laps) is set to start at 1:00.
