Samsung has officially launched its newest consumer electronics, focusing on enhancements in design and software experience. Rather than introducing experimental technologies such as tri-fold phones or XR headsets, the company has chosen to refine its mainstream product lines, particularly with the debut of the Galaxy S25 FE smartphone and the Tab S11 series of tablets. The Galaxy S25 FE represents a significant step towards a more refined user experience, featuring a notably slender and lighter build compared to its predecessor. At just 7.4mm thin and weighing 190g, it approaches the form factor of the Galaxy S25 Plus, offering a premium feel with an IP68 rating, Armor Aluminum frame, and Gorilla Glass Victus Plus protection. Although its camera specifications remain largely unchanged from the previous year, the device does include a slight battery capacity increase to 4,900mAh with faster 45W wired charging. It also introduces One UI 8, based on Android 16, incorporating a suite of AI features, including multimodal Gemini support, and promises seven years of software and security updates.
Similarly, the Tab S11 lineup, comprising an 11-inch model and a 14.6-inch S11 Ultra, prioritizes a slimmer profile, reducing weight by approximately 30g from earlier versions. The S11 Ultra, remarkably thin at 5.1mm, is designed for optimal use with a keyboard case, positioning it as a strong laptop alternative. The magnetic attachment point for the S Pen has been conveniently relocated to the tablet's side. Both tablets are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 Plus processor and come pre-loaded with One UI 8, extending the AI functionalities found in the S25 FE to the tablet ecosystem. Additionally, they offer enhanced DeX desktop mode features, including multi-monitor support and custom workspaces, along with bundled third-party AI productivity applications.
