Due to a washout on the Clinton River Trail in Rochester, the trail has been closed west of the Macomb Orchard Trail and Dequindre Road. Follow the posted detour route. In Dequindre Road, Shelby Twp., the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA) is continuously working on the second phase of infrastructure improvements. Dequindre Road is expected to open on Oct. 25, and between 23 Mile Road and 24 Mile Road, it will close starting Oct. 28 through fall 2025. The Clinton River Trail and Macomb Orchard Trail between Letica Drive and 24 Mile Road will also be closed. Drivers are advised to follow the detours and find alternative routes when possible. This project involves installing a new 96-inch water transmission main and is part of the GLWA project, with a duration through Dec. 31, 2025.
Garfield Road Updates
Garfield Road between 14 Mile Road and 15 Mile Road in Fraser has completed its first phase, and the road is now fully open to traffic. The replacement of the Harrington Drain is scheduled to take place from December 2024 to January 2025, and road reconstruction is expected to occur from March to August 2025. This project focuses on road reconstruction and is set to be completed by August 2025.The Clinton River Trail is not the only road facing closures. In Oakland County, eastbound and westbound Grand River will be closed from Shiawassee to Power Road from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday. In Wayne County, eastbound and westbound west Jefferson Avenue will be intermittently closed from Green Street to Springwells from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.On Mound Road from I-696 to M-59 in Sterling Heights and Warren, the road is open to traffic, but there will be intermittent lane closures for landscaping and utility work. The final landscaping and restoration work is anticipated to be completed in 2024.In Harrison Township, North Blom Drive and Cloverleaf Street will remain open, and traffic will be maintained at all times to allow residents to enter and exit the subdivision. This project is part of MCDR's subdivision reconstruction program and is set to be completed by December.In Oakland County, eastbound I-696 Service Drive will be closed from John R. Road to Couzens Road until mid-December. In Wayne County, northbound I-75 will have one lane open from Sibley to Northlane until 5 a.m. on Monday. It will also have one lane open from Springwells to Waterman Street from 12 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, and the northbound Springwells ramp to northbound I-75 will be closed from 12 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. From 6 p.m. on Sunday until 5 a.m. on Monday, northbound I-75 will have three lanes open from Springwells to Waterman Street.In Wayne County, westbound I-94 ramp to southbound Merriman will be closed from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday and Sunday, and the westbound I-94 ramp to northbound Merriman will be closed from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. From 12 a.m. to 4 a.m. on Tuesday, eastbound and westbound I-94 will be closed at Haggerty near I-275 for cable crossing.In Wayne County, northbound M-1 will have two lanes open from I-75 Service Drive to Mack from 12 a.m. on Monday until 6 a.m. on Friday overnights. Southbound M-1 will have one lane open from I-75 Service Drive to Mack during the same time. From 8 a.m. on Monday until late December, northbound and southbound M-1 will have two lanes open from Tennyson Avenue to Boston Boulevard. Northbound M-1 from Warren to Mack will have two lanes open until late December, except for special events.In Macomb County, northbound and southbound M-19/Main Street will be closed near Armada Ridge from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday. In Oakland County, northbound and southbound M-24/Washington will be closed from Market Street to Burdick Street from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday. In Oakland County, eastbound and westbound M-59 will be closed from Woodward Avenue to Perry Street from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.In Oakland and Wayne counties, westbound M-102 will have two lanes open from Southfield Road to Lahser Road until June 2025. In Oakland County, northbound and southbound M-150 will be closed from 2nd Street to Tienken Road from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
