Vinings Cove Homeowners Litter Cleanup

On a chilly morning, a remarkable group of volunteers came together to clean up Buckner Road. City of Mableton Councilwoman Patricia Auch, Austell Community Taskforce, GA Native Plant Society, Mableton Improvement Coalition, and South Cobb Lions all lent a helping hand. Together, they removed an impressive 18 bags of litter from Buckner Road and an additional 9 bags from Pebblebrook Road, totaling 27 bags and 5 tires. The transformation of the area is truly remarkable. It's heartening to see that the person who used to litter with Michelob Ultra cans and snuff tins on Pebblebrook Road has now stopped this harmful practice. If your subdivision wishes to adopt a mile like the Vinings Cove Homeowners, don't hesitate to contact Dawn at keepcobbbeautiful@cobbcounty.org. She'll provide you with all the necessary resources to keep your mile looking pristine.

Imagine the difference these volunteers have made. By coming together and taking action, they have not only improved the physical environment but also set an example for others. This cleanup effort is a testament to the power of community collaboration and the importance of taking care of our surroundings.

Sweetwater Mission's Meals On A Mission Drive-Thru Food Distribution

The Sweetwater Mission's Meals On A Mission Drive-Thru Food Distribution at The Waverly Trailer Park received extra support from Delta Vacation's We Lead Group. Delta Vacations has been actively involved in volunteer work around Atlanta, assisting other civic organizations such as the Humane Society and the Atlanta Community Food Bank. Regular volunteers also showed up on this cold morning, including the First Christian Church Of Mableton and the Lions Club. Thanks to their efforts, the food distribution was not only efficient but also a lot of fun. It's always a pleasure to see the guests and know that they are receiving the help they need.

This food distribution initiative is a shining example of how communities can come together to address important needs. By providing food to those in need, Sweetwater Mission is making a significant impact on the lives of many. The collaboration between different organizations and volunteers shows the strength and unity of the community.
