Jerry Petitgoue, the iconic coach of Cuba City High School's boys' basketball team, passed away at the age of 84. Known for his exceptional coaching skills and dedication, Petitgoue remained active in the sport until he was 82, retiring as Wisconsin's most successful high school basketball coach. Over five decades, he amassed more than 1,000 victories and led his team to three state championships.
Beginning his tenure in 1971, Petitgoue transformed the Cuba City boys' basketball program into a powerhouse.
