Redwood Living Starts Construction of Ohio Residential Project

Redwood Living has embarked on an exciting construction project in Amherst Township, Ohio. This new neighbourhood, Redwood Amherst, is set to offer a range of single-storey apartment homes with private entrances, providing a residential rental option like no other.

Signature Design Elements and Amenities

Redwood VP of property operations Taylor Haley emphasizes that Redwood Amherst will deliver all the signature design elements and amenities that residents across Ohio have come to love about the Redwood brand. The homes will comprise seven different floor plans, primarily with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Each apartment will include an eat-in kitchen with a pantry, vaulted ceilings, and extra living space that can be adapted for various uses. Additional amenities such as full-size appliances, washer and dryer hookups, closets, upgraded finishes, personal patios, pet-friendly accommodations, and professional on-site management and maintenance teams add to the appeal.

Phase 1 and Timeline

The first phase of Redwood Amherst will feature 153 apartment homes, with the first residents expected to move in by early 2025. This is just the beginning as the second phase will introduce an additional 52 units. Although the timeline for this expansion is yet to be confirmed, it promises to further enhance the neighbourhood.

Unique Features of Redwood's Apartment Homes

Redwood's apartment homes stand out from traditional complexes. They offer open floor plans, attached two-car garages, and individual street addresses. The units range from 896ft² to 1,620ft², with monthly rents starting at approximately $2,000 for one-bedroom apartments and $2,199 for two-bedroom units. This provides residents with a variety of options to suit their needs and budgets.

Located at 1120 Red Thimbleberry Drive, Redwood Amherst offers easy access to Sandstone Development's retail options and the Dolyk Wood Nature Preserve. It is conveniently situated south of the Ohio Turnpike and east of Route 58 off Oberlin Road, making it a prime location for residents.

Redwood's Expansion Across the Midwest

Redwood has a proven track record, having developed over 18,000 apartment homes and managing 150 neighbourhoods across the Midwest and Carolinas. Their latest project in Nebraska, Redwood Bellevue South 25th Street, with 131 single-storey apartment units ranging from 1,294ft² to 1,620ft² and set for completion by 2026, further showcases their commitment to growth and excellence.
