Mayor Parker's Drive-In Ceremony Kicks Off the Event

The 2025 Philadelphia Auto Show officially begins with Mayor Cherelle Parker’s ceremonial "Drive-In" on Thursday afternoon. Accompanied by Auto Show Chair Jeff Glanzmann, Mayor Parker will navigate a 2025 Subaru Forrester across the convention center’s symbolic bridge from Market Street to Arch Street. This tradition marks the start of a 10-day extravaganza that culminates in a black-tie tailgate event on Friday evening, raising funds for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Jeep Unveils Interactive Off-Road Experience: Camp Jeep

One of the highlights of this year’s show is Jeep’s immersive "Camp Jeep" exhibit. Attendees can explore the capabilities of Jeep models like the Gladiator Rubicon, Wrangler Rubicon 4xe, and Grand Cherokee Trailhawk 4xe on an indoor test track designed to mimic challenging terrains. The experience includes steep climbs, uneven surfaces, and suspension tests, offering visitors a firsthand look at these vehicles' off-road prowess. Riders must be 18 or older, or accompanied by an adult if under 44 inches tall, while front-seat passengers must be at least 13 years old.

Electric Vehicles Take Center Stage on the e-Track

The growing prominence of electric vehicles (EVs) is showcased through the "e-Track," where seven brands—Cadillac, Chevrolet, Kia, Nissan, Tesla, Toyota, and Volkswagen—offer test rides in their latest hybrid and fully electric models. With more EVs on display than ever before, attendees can experience the future of sustainable transportation firsthand. These rides provide a glimpse into how electric technology is transforming the automotive landscape.

Custom Alley Showcases Personalized Creations

For those who appreciate individuality, Custom Alley offers an expansive space dedicated to customized vehicles. Covering over 130,000 square feet, this area allows owners to exhibit their meticulously modified cars and trucks. Visitors can marvel at unique designs and innovative modifications, gaining inspiration for their own projects. Custom Alley promises to be even larger in 2025, making it a must-see destination within the show.

A Look Back: Classic Cars and Antique Treasures

Stepping into the past, the entrance of the auto show features "Back in the Day Way," a nostalgic tribute to classic automobiles. In collaboration with the Classic Auto Mall and the Antique Automobile Club of America, this section displays vintage cars that have shaped automotive history. As the 123rd edition of the Philadelphia Auto Show, this exhibit underscores the enduring legacy of the event, which began in 1902.
