Austin Castaneda from Rock Falls has caught the attention of scouts with his impressive all-around game. As a senior who recently committed to Mineral Area College, he demonstrated remarkable skills during his junior year by achieving an average of .362 at bat and contributing significantly to his team's performance with numerous runs and stolen bases.

In another highlight, Newman's Evan Bushman proved instrumental for his team as a junior pitcher. Known for setting a new school record with 11 victories last season, Bushman maintained a strong presence on the mound. His performance was highlighted in crucial matches, including pitching a complete game that propelled the Comets into the state tournament. Meanwhile, Carson Akins of Forreston earned top honors across Illinois due to his leadership qualities and consistent hitting prowess, which included leading his squad with an enviable batting average and slugging percentage.

Other standout players include Brock Lehman from Ashton-Franklin Center, whose powerful offensive contributions set new standards within his institution, and Hunter Miller of Eastland, recognized not only for excelling defensively but also being named MVP of his league.
