An incident occurred on I-280 in Lake Township where an Ohio Turnpike maintenance vehicle faced a harrowing encounter. The vehicle was stationary on the southbound shoulder at the ramp to the Turnpike, with its emergency lights activated. At around 11:52 a.m., a 24-year-old from Elyria drove their Ford Fusion off the right side of the road and collided with the maintenance vehicle.

Inside the maintenance vehicle, a 40-year-old sustained a "possible minor injury" and received on-site treatment. Meanwhile, a 29-year-old inside the vehicle was unharmed. The 24-year-old driver also suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene. Remarkably, the two passengers in the Ford Fusion escaped without any injuries.
