Empowering North Texas: Anne Readhimer's Transformative Role at the Food Bank

The North Texas Food Bank has announced the promotion of Anne Readhimer to the pivotal role of Chief Impact Officer. In this new position, Readhimer will spearhead the organization's efforts to combat hunger and enhance equitable food access, as well as develop sustainable food security solutions for the region.

Driving Positive Change through Strategic Vision and Passion

Expanding Reach and Strengthening Partnerships

As the Chief Impact Officer, Readhimer will oversee several critical areas, including the SNAP and Social Services Assistance team, NTFB programs such as the Food 4 Kids backpack initiative, the Senior Meal program, Nutrition and Garden Education, and the Community Partner Relations team. Her leadership will be instrumental in expanding the food bank's agency networks and mobile distributions, enabling the organization to increase meal distributions through community partners in high-need areas and reach more communities in need.Readhimer's expertise and commitment have already made a significant impact on the North Texas Food Bank's mission. In the past three years, she has helped the organization achieve remarkable results, facilitating the distribution of nearly 300 million meals. Her innovative contributions, such as the community-based approach, container pantries, produce pods, SNAP Mobile, Hunger Action Map, and network grant-making program, have strengthened the food bank's network and enhanced its ability to address hunger effectively.

Addressing Underlying Barriers to Food Security

Readhimer's new role will also see her leading the organization's Hope for Tomorrow strategy, which focuses on growing partnerships with community organizations that help address the underlying barriers to food security. By combining empathy with strategic thinking and prioritizing the needs of the community, Readhimer will utilize data-driven decisions to optimize resources and maximize the impact of the North Texas Food Bank's initiatives.

Leveraging Expertise and Experience

Prior to joining the North Texas Food Bank in 2019, Readhimer held various leadership roles, including serving as the senior director of fresh food innovation at 7-Eleven Inc., where she led a comprehensive food service team focused on new product development and operational improvements. Her previous experience also includes supporting global food innovation and menu development for Yum! Restaurants International, further strengthening her expertise in the food industry and her ability to drive impactful solutions.
