Strengthening the Ties that Bind Local Food Systems

The NWTN Local Food Network, a non-profit organization based in Martin, Tennessee, serves a nine-county region in Northwest Tennessee, including Benton, Carroll, Crockett, Dyer, Lake, Henry, Obion, and Weakley counties. Through initiatives like the annual NWTN Local Food Guide Magazine, Farm to School programs, and connecting farmers and agri-businesses with funding and networking opportunities, the organization is working tirelessly to build and maintain a robust local food system that is accessible to all.

Honoring the Unsung Heroes of the Local Food Movement

Last year, Blackberry Pond Farm co-owners Sue and John Miller were recognized as Local Food Heroes, alongside their friends at Bell Family Farms. "We are honored to be awarded as a local food hero," said Sue Miller. "Thank you, NWTN Local Food Network, for creating a more equitable food economy locally!"
