According to Toshiyuki Kusakihara, the director at Intelligent Systems, the single save file was deemed the most effective method to manage the game's intricate narrative structure. Fortune's Weave allows players to engage with multiple storylines concurrently and revisit chapters. Kusakihara emphasized that this consolidated saving mechanism ensures that all player progress and accumulated experiences are preserved, preventing fragmentation across different save slots.
