Game of Midweek: Rams at 49ers (-2.5, 48.5 o/u)The Rams had a remarkable offensive explosion against the Bills at home. However, due to their youth on both sides of the ball, they can be inconsistent for Sean McVay. On the other hand, Kyle Shanahan's team got its offensive groove back with Brock Purdy at home last week and will look to light it up downfield with George Kittle and others, overcoming additional running back injury woes. Shanahan seems to have McVay's number again in this key regular-season matchup.Pick: 49ers win 27-24 and cover the spread.MORE: NFC West standings after another wild set of games.Game of the Week: Bills at Lions (-2, 54 o/u)Josh Allen has been the best individual player in the NFL, carrying his team. Jared Goff, on the other hand, has been the best team player, being lifted by great support. Allen might try to take over another game, but a reeling Buffalo defense will have trouble against Detroit's rushing attack, which sets up favorable downfield passing for Goff. Allen might need to operate one-dimensionally again, similar to what happened in Week 14 against the Rams.Pick: Lions win 31-27 and cover the spread.MORE LIONS: Dan Campbell lives up to his reputation with gutsy 4th-down calls. Jared Goff praises Campbell’s ‘stones’.MORE BILLS: Allen sews up MVP despite the loss. Bills have just 9 players on the field during the final play.Lock of the Week: Chiefs (-5, 45 o/u) at BrownsThe Chiefs have often been considered "lucky" for winning tough one-possession games, but they are also a terrific clutch team in all three phases. This matchup calls for a breakout. Patrick Mahomes can exploit Cleveland's pass defense downfield to get some big plays early and set up domination for the running game and pass rush against Jameis Winston.Pick: Chiefs win 27-10 and cover the spread.MORE: Why Justin Reid was kicking off for Chiefs. Chris Jones sums up the latest win: ‘We keep the ratings, baby’.Upset of the Week: Seahawks (+3, 47 o/u) over PackersThe Seahawks' defense has been clicking well recently, and now their running game is kicking into high gear, facilitating passing for Geno Smith. The Packers have been relying on Josh Jacobs due to Jordan Love's inconsistency. This even matchup between playoff-positioned teams goes to the home team with the loud crowd behind it in prime time.Pick: Seahawks win 24-23.MORE: What’s ahead for top teams in NFC North.Bengals (-5, 47.5 o/u) at TitansThe Bengals will be coming off a short week and facing a familiar coach in former offensive coordinator Brian Callahan. His knowledge of his former team's offensive tendencies, along with a decent defense at home, will make this game closer than expected between Joe Burrow and Will Levis. But the Bengals have more firepower in the end to finish the season strongly.Pick: Bengals win 31-27 but fail to cover the spread.Commanders (-7.5, 43 o/u) at SaintsThe Commanders will have Jayden Daniels returning to the state where he was a Heisman sensation last season. After a bye, they should be able to run effectively with Daniels and a deep backfield, as well as get some big pass plays downfield. The Saints are facing more quarterback uncertainty and will struggle to keep up.Pick: Commanders win 27-17 and cover the spread.MORE: Derek Carr injury update.Ravens (-14.5, 43.5 o/u) at GiantsThe Ravens also have a great matchup after their bye. A rested Derrick Henry can run all over the New York defense, and Lamar Jackson will find plenty of downfield holes in the passing game. Look for Baltimore's defense to improve with some adjustments and take full advantage of facing Drew Lock.Pick: Ravens win 34-17 and cover the spread.MORE NFL:Sunday 1 p.m. ET, FoxThe Cowboys are still playing hard for Mike McCarthy. They can use this opportunity to get Rico Dowdle going in the running game to take pressure off Cooper Rush. The Panthers will have a tough time covering the tight ends and CeeDee Lamb, while Bryce Young faces some pressure from Micah Parsons & Co.Pick: Cowboys win 20-17.Jets (-3, 40.5 o/u) at JaguarsThe Jets got some offensive inspiration with Aaron Rodgers having his best game for New York, finally figuring out how to feed both Davante Adams and Garrett Wilson well. The Jaguars can't cover these savvy big-play wideouts. On the other hand, Mac Jones will struggle to move the ball in high volume.Pick: Jets win 24-17 and cover the spread.Dolphins at Texans (-3, 47 o/u)This is a great matchup for Miami. Tua Tagovailoa will get the ball out quickly to exploit Houston's shaky secondary with the red-hot trio of Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and Jonnu Smith. The Texans will need to run well to win as C.J. Stroud can be contained with his downfield passing.Pick: Dolphins win 24-20.Colts at Broncos (-4, 44 o/u)The Colts know this is their season as their AFC wild-card playoff hopes depend on beating and passing the No. 7 seed Broncos. Both teams are coming off a bye, so it will come down to which team can contain a big-armed young QB who can run. Denver's defense is better equipped to handle Anthony Richardson than Indianapolis will be against Bo Nix, who is a superior rookie at home.Pick: Broncos win 23-20 but fail to cover the spread.Steelers at Eagles (-5, 43 o/u)These teams once formed a unique team called the “Steagles,” and this latest edition of the Keystone State Bowl is expected to be one of the best. The Steelers have been on fire with Russell Wilson revving up their entire offense, while Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley are taking turns leading the Eagles' balanced, explosive attack. Hurts has a few more reliable healthy weapons to make the difference late, and Philadelphia is also a much better red-zone team.Pick: Eagles win 27-23 but fail to cover the spread.MORE: A.J. Brown gives a blunt assessment of what’s wrong with the Eagles’ offense.Patriots at Cardinals (-6.5, 46 o/u)Jerod Mayo will get his team ready well after a bye, and Drake Maye should have more confidence in his passing and running. Kyler Murray is back in a strange funk, and Arizona's offense remains inconsistent. The Cardinals' run defense can also keep the Patriots in the game until their pass defense makes the game-changing play late against Maye.Pick: Cardinals win 24-20 but fail to cover the spread.Buccaneers at Chargers (-2.5, 46.5 o/u)Baker Mayfield was sloppy last week and was fortunate as the Raiders didn't put up a fight or play competitive defense late. He won't be as lucky against the Chargers' pass rush after they contain the run early and the downfield passing game late. Jesse Minter and Liam Coen have a great defense-offense battle of wits as two future head coaches, but in the end, Justin Herbert and the Chargers have more impactful personnel.Pick: Chargers win 23-20 and cover the spread.Bears at Vikings (-6.5, 44 o/u)The Bears' offense is hard to trust around Caleb Williams as it has been a mixed bag all season regardless of who's calling the plays. The Vikings have a clear, aggressive passing identity, and Kevin O’Connell is rolling with Sam Darnold executing with his wide receivers. The Vikings keep dominating and burying a lost division foe in prime time.Pick: Vikings win 30-14 and cover the spread.MORE: Vikings have a Sam Darnold problem — in 2025.Falcons (-4-5, 44 o/u) at RaidersKirk Cousins isn't happy with his performance in Atlanta's offense when not zipping passes downfield to Darnell Mooney. But he will enjoy this get-well game indoors on the road against a weak opponent and will absolutely crush them with big support from Bijan Robinson. The Raiders have little hope with their quarterback issues.Pick: Falcons win 27-17 and cover the spread.MORE FALCONS: Is Kirk Cousins on the hot seat after the ‘revenge game’ flop vs. Vikings?MORE RAIDERS: Aidan O’Connell injury update.Stats of the WeekWeek 14 record straight up: 8-4Week 14 record against the spread: 5-7Season-to-date straight up: 140-68Season-to-date against the spread: 102-101
