Seahawks' Geno Smith's Knee Injury

Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald was optimistic about quarterback Geno Smith's knee injury. Smith left the game in the third quarter with the injury and didn't return as the Packers won 30-13. MacDonald said "structurally, it's all there" and believes Smith will practice this week and have a chance to play in Week 16. Smith suffered the injury on an awkward hit to his lower leg. He's a tough player and the team is hopeful to see him practice and be ready for the game.

Detroit Lions' Injuries

The Detroit Lions lost a shootout to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, snapping an 11-game win streak. But the injuries were the tough part. They lost cornerbacks Carlton Davis III and Khalil Dorsey, with Davis out six weeks due to a jaw injury and defensive lineman Alim McNeill tearing his ACL. Running back David Montgomery is out for the season with a torn MCL that requires surgery. These injuries add to a string of other injuries that have plagued their defense.

Kansas City Chiefs' Clyde Edwards-Helaire

The Kansas City Chiefs waived running back and former first-round pick Clyde Edwards-Helaire. He previously announced he's been living with PTSD related to a fatal self-defense shooting. He was placed on the non-football illness list prior to Week 1.

Baltimore Ravens' Diontae Johnson

Diontae Johnson and the Baltimore Ravens are taking a break. The Ravens announced Johnson has been excused from team activities after a one-game suspension for refusing to enter a game.

Dallas Cowboys' Trevon Diggs

The Cowboys are hoping cornerback Trevon Diggs' recovery will allow him to return for the start of the 2025 season. Diggs will miss the rest of this season with a new knee injury related to cartilage and recovery time could be around eight months.

Browns' Potential QB Change

Jameis Winston has thrown eight interceptions in the last three games, leading Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski to consider a quarterback change. Dorian Thompson-Robinson entered a game and didn't perform well. Stefanski isn't ready to name a starter for their Week 16 matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Carolina Panthers' Xavier Legette

Legette injured his groin during Sunday's loss to the Dallas Cowboys and is considered "week-to-week." He likely won't play this week and could be done for the season.

Indianapolis Colts' Alec Pierce

Alec Pierce did not catch any balls on four targets during Sunday's loss and was injured in the second quarter. He was ruled out and is in the concussion protocol. Ashton Dulin has been out with an ankle injury, leaving Adonai Mitchell as the other option.

San Francisco 49ers' De'Vondre Campbell
