Ferrero UK & Ireland has unveiled a significant leadership change with the appointment of Craig Barker as its new regional managing director. Taking over from Philippe Steyaert, who now serves as chief business officer at Ferrero’s headquarters in Luxembourg, Barker brings extensive experience to the role. Having spent 20 years at Ferrero and three decades in the confectionery industry, his career spans various regions, including Asia Pacific, Australia, New Zealand, and North Asia. This transition aligns with Ferrero's commitment to strengthening its presence globally while continuing its growth trajectory.

Craig Barker returns to the UK after leading Ferrero’s operations in the Asia Pacific region. His journey with the company began two decades ago when he joined as a sales director in the UK. Reflecting on this homecoming, Barker expressed excitement about rejoining a dynamic market where Ferrero continues to expand through brand innovation and category diversification. With strong brands such as Nutella, Kinder, Tic Tac, and Ferrero Rocher underpinning its portfolio, the company is well-positioned for further success under his leadership. Barker emphasized his eagerness to collaborate with the talented team to deliver exceptional value to customers.

Philippe Steyaert extended heartfelt gratitude to the UK & Ireland team during his farewell message. He praised their dedication and achievements, expressing confidence in the continued prosperity of Ferrero UK & Ireland under Barker's guidance. Looking ahead, Steyaert anticipates great things from both Barker and the team, highlighting the robust foundation laid by previous efforts.

Barker's appointment coincides with an ambitious expansion plan announced by Ferrero. The company recently invested $445 million to enhance its production facility in Brantford, Ontario, Canada. This move underscores Ferrero’s global ambitions and reinforces its commitment to delivering high-quality products worldwide. Employing over 47,000 individuals globally, Ferrero remains a powerhouse in the confectionery industry.

The arrival of Craig Barker marks a pivotal moment for Ferrero UK & Ireland. As the organization embarks on this new chapter, it carries forward the legacy of excellence established by Philippe Steyaert. With a focus on innovation, brand development, and strategic growth, Ferrero is poised to maintain its leadership position in the competitive confectionery landscape. Barker's expertise and vision are expected to drive the company toward even greater heights in the coming years.
