Scott Yeates, the founder of Mythology Distillery, has embarked on a new venture with Bryan Baker to enhance the food experience at two Steamboat Springs locations. Yeates, who established the distillery in 2018, is now channeling his focus toward crafting exceptional spirits and cocktails rather than managing food operations. The collaboration aims to provide patrons with an elevated dining experience that complements the distillery’s renowned beverages.

Baker Brings His Expertise to Mythology Distillery

In the vibrant town of Steamboat Springs, Scott Yeates decided to align himself with Bryan Baker this spring to redefine the culinary landscape of Mythology Distillery. This partnership resulted in the creation of Yield@Mythology, which now serves as the exclusive food provider for both the main campus and the mountainside location. Baker, relocating from The Commons Food Hall, began offering his menu at the primary site a few weeks ago and anticipates extending his offerings to the seasonal mountainside venue starting June 26.

Yield@Mythology prides itself on its farm-to-counter philosophy, emphasizing locally sourced ingredients. Their menu features a delectable smash burger crafted with Snowden Meats beef, wraps, salads enriched with produce from Mountain Bluebird and Elkstone Farms, and bread baked by Bred. Additionally, appetizers and dishes infused with the flavors of Mythology’s spirits are set to be introduced. Baker’s dedication to simplicity and quality resonates with Yeates’ vision for creating memorable experiences through spirits and food.

The main campus at 2875 Elk River Road offers food daily from noon to 8 p.m., while the garden and tasting room remain open until 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The mountainside location at 1874 Ski Time Square will serve food and cocktails from Thursday to Sunday once it opens.

Since moving the distillery's base from Denver to Steamboat in 2021, Yeates has successfully transitioned operations, opening a new campus in June 2023. With seven years in business, Mythology Distillery continues to thrive under this renewed focus on excellence in both spirit production and culinary arts.

From a journalist's perspective, this partnership exemplifies the power of collaboration in enhancing community-based businesses. By combining Yeates' expertise in distilling with Baker's passion for local cuisine, they have created a synergy that benefits not only their establishments but also the surrounding area. This story inspires other entrepreneurs to seek out partnerships that can elevate their offerings and contribute positively to their local economies.
