New Addition to the Hawk Family: Faith Stinson Joins Women's Basketball Team

The Saint Joseph’s women’s basketball program is set to welcome Faith Stinson, a standout player with an impressive resume. Coach Cindy Griffin expressed excitement about Stinson joining the team, highlighting her versatility on the court. With proven skills in scoring, rebounding, and defense, Stinson is expected to significantly enhance the team’s offensive strategies as they prepare for the upcoming season.

Stinson brings a wealth of experience from her previous stints at IU Indy, Penn State, and Akron. Over the past two years with the Jaguars, she has demonstrated remarkable consistency and growth. Not only did she start 49 games out of 60 appearances, but she also accumulated 456 points and 309 rebounds. Her most recent season showcased career-best averages in various categories, including scoring, rebounding, and defensive contributions. Additionally, her shooting efficiency improved notably, making her an even more formidable presence on the floor.

Before transitioning to college basketball, Stinson established herself as a dominant force at Sheridan High School. She concluded her high school tenure with nearly 1,000 points, over 600 rebounds, and an impressive number of blocks. As a senior, she averaged almost 20 points and 12 rebounds per game, earning numerous accolades such as Southeast District Player of the Year. Her achievements reflect not just individual talent but also leadership qualities that will undoubtedly benefit her new teammates at Saint Joseph’s.
