The NC State baseball team is currently experiencing an impressive winning streak, having triumphed in 11 of their last 12 games. This success can largely be attributed to the outstanding performance of their starting pitchers. With a formidable trio leading the charge, the Wolfpack's potential continues to grow stronger. Among them, junior Dominic Fritton has found his groove after a slow start, boasting an ERA of just 1.26. Fellow sophomore Heath Andrews and Ryan Marohn complement this lineup with equally commendable performances, making NC State one of the top contenders in the ACC.

Fritton, the Friday starter, initially faced challenges with control, as evidenced by his match against Ohio State where he walked six batters. However, since that game, he has significantly improved, limiting walks and increasing strikeouts. His ability to perfect offspeed pitches has made it exceedingly difficult for opposing hitters to connect effectively.

On Saturdays, Andrews takes the mound. As the sole right-hander in the weekend rotation, he has emerged as a breakout star this season. Demonstrating numbers comparable to Fritton’s, Andrews maintains a low batting average against him. Although his strikeout count lags slightly behind Fritton’s, Andrews consistently proves himself as a reliable asset to the team.

Completing the trio is Marohn, who performs on Sundays. Known for his exceptional control, Marohn excels at forcing hitters to earn their bases rather than giving away free passes. A standout moment came during a complete game against Wright State, where he achieved 14 strikeouts. Despite a less-than-ideal showing against Virginia Tech, Marohn remains a promising talent within the team.

With such a talented group of starters, NC State stands poised to make significant strides in the ACC. Though there are areas for improvement, the synergy and skill level exhibited by these three pitchers position the Wolfpack as a formidable force in collegiate baseball.
