From local community service initiatives to global missions, this event offers a comprehensive overview of the diverse ways students can get involved. "We have many different ways for [students] to get involved locally through the service side, and then globally we have our mission trips," explains Sarah Nelson, the assistant director for global missions operations. The event's organizers, led by Bailey Hebert, the senior program coordinator for Missions and Public Life, have curated a dynamic schedule filled with networking opportunities, social events, and informative sessions. Missions Week at Baylor is more than just a one-time event; it's a catalyst for lifelong connections and transformative experiences. "Missions Week fosters life-long connections for students whether it is an internship, a summer job or a long-term mission," says Nelson. The event provides a platform for students to explore their passions, discover their calling, and forge meaningful relationships with like-minded individuals. The global missions teams at Baylor are a testament to the lasting impact of Missions Week. These teams, typically comprising 14 to 20 students selected by faculty advisors, embark on mission trips to various countries around the world. "Last year, Baylor missions sent out 25 different teams to 13 different countries," Nelson reveals. These discipline-specific teams, often focused on pre-health or other academic areas, offer students the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills in real-world settings, making a tangible difference in the lives of those they serve.Empowering Students to Become Global Citizens

This shared sense of purpose and commitment to making a positive impact fosters a community of like-minded individuals, who can support and inspire one another throughout their journeys.Through Missions Week, Baylor University is equipping its students with the tools and resources they need to become agents of change, making a lasting difference in the world.
