Georgia Tech Men's Basketball Unveils Exciting 2024-25 ACC Schedule

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets men's basketball team has unveiled its highly anticipated 2024-25 Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) schedule, featuring marquee matchups against traditional powerhouses and new conference additions. Under the leadership of head coach Damon Stoudamire, the Yellow Jackets are poised to make a significant impact in the upcoming season, building on their impressive performance last year.

Gearing Up for an Electrifying ACC Campaign

Facing the Conference's Blue Bloods

The Yellow Jackets will open their ACC schedule with a highly anticipated clash against the North Carolina Tar Heels on December 7th, followed by a home showdown against the Duke Blue Devils on December 21st. This marks the third consecutive year that Georgia Tech has faced either the Tar Heels or the Blue Devils in their conference opener, and the first time they will take on both of the league's traditional powerhouses in the same month.

Navigating the Challenging Conference Slate

As the Yellow Jackets resume their conference race in January, they will host a New Year's Eve matchup against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and a Saturday, January 4th tilt against the Boston College Eagles. The team will then hit the road for back-to-back games against the Syracuse Orange (January 7th) and the SMU Mustangs (January 11th). The month of January will also see the Yellow Jackets host the Clemson Tigers (January 14th) and the Virginia Tech Hokies (January 22nd), while they travel to face the Florida State Seminoles (January 18th) and the Fighting Irish once again (January 28th).

Navigating the Challenging Conference Slate

The Yellow Jackets' February schedule features a mix of home and away games, with the Louisville Cardinals (February 1st), the Stanford Cardinal (February 12th), and the California Golden Bears (February 15th) visiting McCamish Pavilion. Tech will also travel to face the Clemson Tigers (February 4th), the Virginia Cavaliers (February 8th), the Boston College Eagles (February 22nd), and the Pittsburgh Panthers (February 25th) during the month.

Closing Out the Regular Season

The Yellow Jackets will wrap up their regular-season campaign on March 8th with a road game against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. The ACC Tournament, featuring the top 15 teams in the final league standings, will take place from March 11th to 15th at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Embracing the Home-Court Advantage

The Yellow Jackets will enjoy a significant home-court advantage in the 2024-25 season, with 19 regular-season games scheduled at McCamish Pavilion. This includes Saturday home ACC games against Duke, Boston College, Louisville, California, and NC State. The team's home-and-away opponents in the conference will be Boston College, Clemson, and Notre Dame.

Expanding Media Exposure

The Yellow Jackets' 2024-25 schedule will provide fans with ample opportunities to catch the team in action, with the team set to appear five times on ESPN networks, 14 times on the ACC Network, and three times on The CW Network. The team's non-conference schedule includes matchups against the Oklahoma Sooners, the Northwestern Wildcats, and several other notable opponents.

Building on Last Season's Momentum

Under the guidance of head coach Damon Stoudamire, the Yellow Jackets made significant strides last season, recording 14 victories and securing impressive wins over top-25 teams such as Mississippi State, Duke, Clemson, and North Carolina. The team has further bolstered its roster by adding a highly ranked recruiting class and several key transfers, positioning themselves for a potential return to national prominence in the upcoming campaign.
