The TCU Horned Frogs have made a strong start to the 2024-25 season, with impressive performances at the Battle in the Bay Classic in San Francisco and the Waco Fall Kickoff Classic in Texas. Lui Maxted, the 39th-ranked player nationally, has made a statement early in the season, achieving the highest-ranked win of his four-year TCU career. In the semifinals of the Battle in the Bay Classic, Maxted coasted past the 15th-ranked Jay Friend of Arizona, winning in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4. This impressive victory has earned Maxted a spot in the singles final, where he will face off against the 56th-ranked Carl Emil Overbeck of California.Meanwhile, Duncan Chan has teamed up with Michigan State's Danial Rakhmatullayev in the doubles competition, and the duo has proven to be a formidable partnership. In their latest match, they defeated the preseason ITA No. 1 singles player, Ozan Baris, and his partner Matthew Forbes, with a convincing 8-5 victory. Chan and Rakhmatullayev will now face off against Overbeck and Theo Dean of California in the doubles final.

Alonso and Quirijns Contribute to TCU's Success

The Horned Frogs' success extends beyond Maxted and Chan, as Julian Alonso and Kaj Quirijns have also made valuable contributions.
