Magellan Behavioral Health of Pennsylvania, Inc. (Magellan) is spearheading the 3rd Annual Bucks-Mont Food Drive, a collaborative effort with Bucks County Behavioral Health/Developmental Programs, Bucks County Human Services Division, and Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services. The drive aims to collect 3,000 pounds of food and non-food donations from September 16 to November 1, 2024, to support local food banks and pantries in addressing the growing issue of food insecurity in the region.

Strengthening the Safety Net: Bucks County Opportunity Council and MontCo Anti-Hunger Network

The Bucks County Opportunity Council (BCOC) and the MontCo Anti-Hunger Network will be the recipients of the collected donations, ensuring that the resources reach those in need across both Bucks and Montgomery counties. BCOC, a proud partner in this initiative, operates over 75 food pantries and distribution centers, serving over 40,100 individuals facing food insecurity in Bucks County alone. The MontCo Anti-Hunger Network, on the other hand, supports a network of more than 70 food pantries and free meal providers, playing a crucial role in addressing the growing hunger crisis in the region.
