Simultaneously, the driver of a teal-colored Ford Taurus sedan was making a right turn into a business complex. The Bolt driver, a 37-year-old from Shelby Township, crashed into the passenger side of the Taurus. This forceful impact propelled the Taurus into a white SUV.

The 55-year-old Macomb Township man driving the Taurus was rushed to an area hospital. As of the latest report, he was in critical condition. Investigators revealed that the Shelby Township resident was transporting an Uber passenger at the time of the crash. Both the driver and passenger were taken to a local hospital with only minor injuries. Remarkably, the driver of the third vehicle remained unharmed.
