The City of Paris has bid farewell to a dedicated public servant as Gene Anderson, the Finance Director for four decades, officially retired on Monday. Over his extensive career, Anderson's contributions have been marked by precision and dedication, spanning nearly 14,700 days in total, with around 10,000 business days devoted to ensuring the city’s financial stability. Recognizing his lasting impact, the Paris City Council recently decided to honor him by renaming the City Hall West Annex to the Gene Anderson Annex. This gesture underscores the respect and gratitude the city holds for his invaluable service over the years.
A celebration was held at the city hall on Monday, where colleagues, retirees, friends, and family gathered to express their admiration and best wishes for Anderson's next chapter.
