The September 21st crash in West Babylon has left an indelible mark on the community. Three young lives were tragically lost, and three others were injured in the devastating incident. Bella Trezza, a 17-year-old, was behind the wheel of the car carrying four other teenagers when they were struck by another vehicle. Trezza's passenger, 18-year-old Riley Goot, was killed, and Trezza herself succumbed to her injuries a few days later at the hospital. The 33-year-old driver who ran a red light and crashed into them also perished in the collision.Honoring Bella Trezza's Legacy
In a poignant gesture, Bella Trezza's family made the selfless decision to donate her organs, ultimately saving the lives of three individuals from New York City, Massachusetts, and Maryland. "Two women in their thirties received her kidneys and a man in his sixties received her liver, all saved by Bella's act of grace and her family's decision to say yes to donation. These three recipients and Bella will now live on," said LiveOnNY president and CEO Leonard Achan.Rallying the Community: A Shared Grief and Determination
