Concord's senior football star, Kevin McDonough from Vermont State University-Castleton, has made significant strides in his athletic career. His prowess on the field and slopes has earned him recognition and respect.

McDonough's Dual Sporting Dominance

Football - First Team Defense

Kevin McDonough, an inside linebacker for the Castleton football team, has achieved remarkable feats. He was named to the All-MASCAC First Team Defense list. With an astounding 126 total tackles, he ranked second in NCAA Division III. His 63 solo tackles tied for fifth, showcasing his individual skill. McDonough also led the MASCAC in tackles per game, averaging an impressive 12.6 per outing. This was demonstrated in his career-high 19 tackles against Mass. Maritime on Sept. 21. His dedication and talent on the football field have been truly remarkable.

Not only is he a football star, but McDonough also competes for the Castleton Alpine skiing team. He has been a member for four years, adding another dimension to his athletic life.

Basketball - Grade 3/4 Girls' Travel Team

The Concord grade 3/4 girls' travel basketball team had a thrilling start to their season with a 18-16 win against Hampstead. Evelyn Shaw and Lily LaTorra led the scoring, while Claire Wolcott's defense was outstanding and Sofia Djabelarbi rebounded effectively. Their teamwork and determination on the basketball court are evident.

This young team is showing great promise and is likely to continue making waves in the basketball world.
