A group of twelve home service enterprises joined forces to provide substantial support to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank in early January. Throughout the holiday season, these companies engaged in a friendly rivalry, collecting both food and financial contributions. Their collective efforts culminated in an impressive achievement: providing enough provisions for 28,450 meals. The initiative was particularly focused on addressing the challenges faced by families during the colder months. Robert Buonomo, General Manager of Beck Cohen, emphasized the importance of this period. He noted that many people overlook the difficulties of January and February when it comes to ensuring food security. By preparing and donating in advance, these businesses aimed to ease the burden on families during the harsh winter months. Among the participants, W. E. Brown, an HVAC company, emerged as the top contributor this year.
