Mick Kuberka: A Proven Winner Joins the Tigers
Mick Kuberka, a seasoned basketball coach with over 20 years of experience, has joined the RIT men's basketball coaching staff. Kuberka's impressive resume includes stints at Hilbert College and St. John Fisher College, where he honed his skills and helped his teams achieve success. Additionally, Kuberka is the founder and director of the Buffalo Titans Basketball program, which provides training, clinics, and travel teams for players in the Buffalo and Rochester areas.Coach Parker expressed his enthusiasm about Kuberka's arrival, stating, "We are extremely excited to welcome Mick Kuberka to the RIT community. Mick joins us with Division III assistant experience from St. John Fisher and Hilbert, and he brings with him a history of helping make his teams better."Kuberka's basketball journey began at Lafayette College, where he was a member of the Leopards' basketball team that set the school record for wins in a season (24), won two Patriot League Championships, and played in back-to-back NCAA Tournaments. His contributions to those championship teams earned him induction into the Lafayette Maroon Club Hall of Fame in 2018.At RIT, Kuberka will be responsible for working with the team's post players and helping to develop the offense. Joining Mick Kuberka on the RIT men's basketball coaching staff is Terris "Tee" Sanders, who brings a wealth of experience from the Division I level. Sanders previously served as the Director of Basketball Operations at Hampton University, where he honed his skills in various aspects of the game, including recruiting coordination, operations, player development, and social media oversight.Coach Parker expressed his excitement about Sanders' arrival, stating, "We are extremely excited to welcome Tee Sanders to the RIT community. Tee joins us with Division I experience at Hampton University, and we're fortunate to be adding a coach of his caliber to our staff."In addition to his work at Hampton, Sanders has also served as the head coach of the 2025 team at Wave Basketball Club in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and has worked as a player development coach in the Hampton Roads area. His coaching expertise has benefited players such as Kyrese Mullen (Hampton), Jerry Deng (Florida State), Tyson Brown (Georgia Southern), Marquis Godwin, and Scott Spencer (Overseas).At RIT, Sanders will be responsible for working with the team's guards and spearheading player development initiatives.
