Today, I'm sharing a unique Amazon try-on haul! I picked out several items to review, but I won’t be keeping all of them. Keep reading to find out why and see if you agree with my choices!
First Up: This smocked maxi dress caught my eye with its vibrant, "Marimekko-esque" print. It's made from easy-care polyester and features a comfortable smocked bodice with adjustable shoulder ties. It fits true to size (I'm wearing a small). However, I feel the colors aren’t flattering for my complexion. Verdict: I'm returning it, but I'm tempted to exchange it for one of the other 23 color options—how did I overlook that navy floral?
Next, we have these smocked linen-look pants. They’re comfy and perfect for summer! You can pair them with any white top, graphic tee, or button-down shirt. I’m in my usual size small, and while they don’t look exactly like the product photo, I still like them. For reference, I'm 5'8". Verdict: KEEP!
Then, I tried these overalls that resemble Free People's sun-drenched version but at half the price. I opted for a medium but could’ve gone with a small, so I recommend choosing your usual size. They’re unique yet easy to style with sandals and a tank or tee. I love the rust color for summer. Verdict: It’s a KEEP for me!
Lastly, this two-piece matching set features a lovely button detail down the back and a peplum ruffle on the top. It’s a linen-blend fabric that would be great for vacation since you can mix and match the pieces. However, while I adore neutrals, this particular color is making me look washed out. Verdict: I’ll return it and try a different color (there are 16 options!).
