Johns Hopkins Tennis Stars Secure Spots in Upcoming NCAA Championships

Three standout tennis athletes from Johns Hopkins University have earned prestigious spots in the 2025 NCAA Tennis Championships. Daniel Ardila and Dylan Blenkiron will participate in the doubles competition, while Chakor Rajendra is set to compete in singles. Selected based on their impressive records, rigorous schedules, and eligibility, these players exemplify excellence within collegiate athletics. The championships will take place at the Biszantz Family Tennis Center in Claremont, California, with the team event scheduled for May 20-23 and the individual competitions following shortly after from May 24-27.

Ardila and Blenkiron represent the eleventh doubles team from Johns Hopkins to qualify for the NCAA Championships. This dynamic duo has achieved a commendable record of 13-10 this season and currently holds the eighth national ranking. Ardila’s career boasts an impressive 72 doubles victories, placing him sixth in Johns Hopkins history. Meanwhile, Blenkiron, as a freshman, has already amassed 20 doubles wins, tying him for fourth in program history among first-year players.

Rajendra, showcasing remarkable skill in singles play, maintains a solid season record of 18-14 and ranks 29th nationally. In just his second year, he has accumulated 37 singles victories and is poised to enter the top 24 in school history with one more win.
