Jeep has expanded its lineup of unique vehicles with the introduction of the 2026 Gladiator Whitecap. This special edition package, reminiscent of the recently revealed Wrangler Whitecap, offers a distinct visual upgrade for several Gladiator trims. The Whitecap treatment infuses a classic aesthetic into the rugged pickup, making it stand out with its unique color scheme and historical nod.
The visual characteristics of the Gladiator Whitecap largely mirror those of its Wrangler counterpart. The design pays homage to Jeep's foundational production vehicles, most notably by incorporating a Bright White roof and a matching side stripe decal that prominently displays '1941' on the front doors. This detail celebrates the inaugural production year of the iconic Willys MB, establishing a direct link to Jeep's heritage.
Further enhancing the Whitecap's distinctive appearance, Bright White paint extends to the outer frame of the seven-slot grille. For specific trims, including the Rubicon, Rubicon X, Mojave, and Mojave X, a white decal on the hood proudly showcases the trim's designation. Beyond these aesthetic enhancements, the Whitecap edition retains all the robust capabilities expected of a Gladiator. It boasts an impressive towing capacity of up to 7700 pounds and a maximum payload of 1720 pounds. Owners also have the flexibility to remove the roof and doors, offering an open-air driving experience. Powering all Whitecap models is a potent 285-horsepower 3.6-liter V-6 engine, coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel-drive system, ensuring reliable performance across various terrains.
The Whitecap package is an accessible addition, available for the Gladiator Sahara, Rubicon, Rubicon X, Mojave, and Mojave X trims, with an incremental cost of just $495. Enthusiasts can anticipate seeing these models at dealerships starting this spring. Entry-level pricing for the Sahara Whitecap begins at $50,680, while the top-tier Rubicon X and Mojave X models, equipped with the Whitecap package, will be priced at $63,775. This strategic offering allows a broader range of customers to personalize their Gladiator with a touch of vintage flair without a significant financial commitment.
Jeep's latest offering, the 2026 Gladiator Whitecap, is designed to appeal to those who appreciate a blend of modern capability and historical design. By integrating key styling cues from its past, Jeep has created a package that not only enhances the Gladiator's visual appeal but also strengthens its connection to the brand's enduring legacy. This new variant underscores Jeep's commitment to providing diverse options that cater to different tastes, from the adventurous off-roader to the nostalgic enthusiast.
