Interparfums Secures Global Rights to Goutal Brand

A landmark deal has been struck between Interparfums SA and Amorepacific Europe, with the former acquiring all intellectual property rights related to Maison Goutal globally. Under this agreement, Amorepacific Europe will retain operational control over the brand for a specified period through a licensing contract. From 2026 onward, Interparfums plans to enhance and expand the brand alongside its licensee. Established by Annick Goutal in 1981, the brand quickly became synonymous with luxury fragrances, particularly after launching the renowned L’Eau d’Hadrien line. Known for its artistic and elegant scents, Goutal has developed an extensive product range including perfumes, bath products, and home fragrances, sold both domestically and internationally.

In a significant development within the fragrance industry, Interparfums SA is set to take the reins of the prestigious Goutal brand from 2026 onwards. This transition follows the acquisition of all global intellectual property rights associated with Maison Goutal from Amorepacific Europe. For now, Amorepacific Europe will continue managing the brand under a temporary licensing arrangement. The origins of Goutal trace back to 1981 when Annick Goutal introduced her first collection, L’Eau d’Hadrien, establishing a boutique on Rue de Bellechasse in Paris. Since then, the brand has thrived, crafting a reputation for sophisticated and poetic fragrances using only the finest natural ingredients. With annual sales reaching figures between $10 million and $12 million, Goutal remains a beacon in the high-end fragrance market. Notably, Camille Goutal, daughter of the founder, will stay engaged in fragrance selections, ensuring the preservation of the brand’s legacy and core values as outlined by her late mother.
