Donation Details and Collaboration

Crowheart Energy's contribution of $10,000 and 10,000 pounds of food has been a game-changer. Williams played a crucial role by contributing money for food purchases, while Rocky Mountain Power Sports allowed them to use a trailer for transportation. Employees from various locations like Rock Springs, Green River, Baggs, Rawlins, and Denver came together to ensure the smooth delivery of the food. Josh Maser, representing Crowheart Energy, expressed his excitement about the employees' support for this initiative. "We have a great group of people that donated," he said. This isn't the first time Crowheart has made a difference. It's their third year donating food to the food bank. Sherry Moreno, the intake and diaper bank clerk, emphasized that not only do they bring a large quantity of food but also a wide variety. "These guys usually bring quite a variety, they bring everything," she said.

Increasing Need and Food Bank Growth

Kathy Siler, the director of the Food Bank of Sweetwater County, highlighted the growing dependence on Crowheart's donations. As more families seek food assistance, the food bank has seen a 28% increase in the number of families served. In October 2024, 617 families sought food, compared to 502 families in October 2023. This upward trend is a clear indication of the need for such donations.Moreno also mentioned that the Boy Scouts will be providing more food through their food drive on Saturday. She is committed to having everything ready for the Rock Springs food distribution on Tuesday. Siler emphasized that the food bank will continue to seek donations throughout the holiday season to ensure a continuous supply of food. The following photos, courtesy of Mandy Willmore/Crowheart Energy, provide a visual testament to this generous act.
