High School Baseball Championship Journey Begins

The journey toward baseball supremacy in Louisiana is now underway, as the LHSAA has unveiled the playoff brackets for the 2025 season. With all eyes set on Sulphur, where dreams of championship glory will be realized, teams across various divisions and classifications are prepared to embark on this thrilling quest.

This week marks the start of the postseason, with the initial round of matchups scheduled from April 16-19 for Divisions I, II, and III. As excitement builds, Division IV, Class B, and Class C teams will take their turn from April 22-26. Throughout late April and early May, each successive round will narrow down the contenders, creating an electrifying atmosphere leading up to the grand finale in Sulphur.

Innovation takes center stage this year as Divisions I through III adopt a best-of-three series format at the State Tournament, spanning from Thursday, May 15, through Saturday, May 17. Meanwhile, Division IV, Class B, and Class C will adhere to the conventional structure, featuring semifinals on Tuesday, May 13, culminating in championship showdowns on Wednesday, May 14. This evolution in tournament formats underscores the commitment to fostering competitive excellence and engaging fans statewide.
