Webb understands that people have choices when it comes to entertainment, and his team works tirelessly to ensure every patron leaves with a smile. From the moment guests arrive at the 520-vehicle parking lot, they are greeted with professionalism and warmth. Inside, the acoustics and amenities are designed to enhance the overall experience.Artists, too, have taken notice. One performer, initially confused about the location, was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the facility. “We thought we were heading to Nashville, Tennessee, but ended up in Indiana instead. What a find!” he exclaimed after the show. Major acts like Chicago and Ricky Skaggs have returned multiple times, drawn by the exceptional sound and service. Webb attributes this loyalty to word-of-mouth recommendations among artists and their agents. “If you treat everyone right, they’ll keep coming back,” he explained.

Economies of Scale: Bringing Big Names to Small Towns

One of the secrets behind the center’s ability to attract national acts lies in its strategic approach to booking. Webb leverages economies of scale, using his buying power to secure top talent at competitive rates. His background in sports management, particularly with the San Diego Chargers, provided valuable insights into operations and risk management. Transitioning from athletics to live entertainment proved to be a natural fit. “Sports events can be intense, but there’s something magical about seeing people leave a concert in high spirits,” Webb observed.After working with Live Nation Entertainment, one of the world’s largest live event companies, Webb brought his expertise to Indianapolis. He managed the Murat Theatre at Old National Centre for six years, gaining invaluable experience in managing diverse venues. Now, at the Brown County Music Center, he applies these lessons to create memorable experiences for all attendees. By balancing popular acts with niche performances, Webb ensures there’s something for everyone, from Bachman-Turner Overdrive to Patti LaBelle.
