In a unique twist to the typical college assignment, engineering students at Texas Christian University (TCU) traded late-night study sessions for an exhilarating project. Instead of traditional reading and writing tasks, they engaged in designing and constructing miniature race cars under specific guidelines. Participants were challenged to craft the swiftest vehicle possible within set parameters and compete against their peers. Alessandra Senis, a junior mechanical engineering student, shared her firsthand account of the enjoyable process. Alongside her teammates, she meticulously planned and assembled their entry, blending technical expertise with artistic flair. Inspired by the animated character Lightning McQueen, they carved and painted their wooden car with great enthusiasm.
