By 2014, the restaurant started expanding, opening brick-and-mortar locations and franchising. Having frequented The Halal Guys in Chicago and Manhattan, they were inspired to bring this international brand home. They believe that The Halal Guys will fill a gap in the Iowa City dining scene by offering quick and delicious Mediterranean food.
