Zeekr, a high-end brand under Geely Group founded in 2021, has achieved a remarkable milestone. Just 37 months after the first vehicle rolled off the production line, the Geely-backed high-end electric brand Zeekr manufactured the 400,000th electric car. This remarkable feat was made possible by its diverse model line, which comprises six cars.

Zeekr's 400,000th Car - The Mix Minivan

The Zeekr's 400,000th car is the Mix minivan, which has rolled off the production line in the Geely's Chunxiao plant. Built in 2014 with an annual volume of 200,000 units, this plant is not only responsible for assembling the Zeekr Mix but also Geely-branded models like the Borui sedan and Geely Atlas (Boyue) crossover. The Zeekr Mix stands out with its record in-cabin space utilization rate of 93%, thanks to its unique three sliding doors. This allows for an entrance width of 1480 mm, providing exceptional accessibility. Inside, it features five seats, with a cabin height reaching 1350 mm and a floor height of just 390 mm.The Mix has impressive dimensions of 4668/1995/1775 mm and a wheelbase of 3008 mm. Its front wheels can turn more than 50 degrees, resulting in a turning radius of 4.95 meters. Powered by a single electric motor in the rear axle with 310 kW (415 hp), it can reach 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds. With a 76 kWh LFP battery, the entry-level Zeekr Mix has a range of 550 km, while the larger ternary NMC battery pack offers a 102 kWh capacity and a range of 700 km. However, it comes with a price tag ranging from 279,800 to 299,900 yuan (38,500 to 41,200 USD), making it a premium offering.

Zeekr's Production Plants Across China

To maintain high sales volume, Zeekr produces its vehicles in three manufacturing plants across China. The Zeekr factory in Hangzhou Bay, the Geely plant in Chengdu, and the Geely plant in Chunxiao all play a crucial role in meeting the demand. These plants are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and utilize advanced production processes to ensure the quality and efficiency of Zeekr's vehicles.

Zeekr's Technological Upgrades

The Zeekr Mix became the first pure electric product manufactured in the Chunxiao factory. Before the production of this new model started, the factory underwent serious renovation. Technical transformations included the building of two workshops, the expansion of the welding and stamping workshops, and the addition of some production equipment.
