Jeremy Koch is a renowned saxophonist, chamber musician, educator, and arts administrator based in the Washington, D.C. area. He has an impressive resume, having served as the principal saxophonist and section leader of the United States Air Force Band. Koch has been a featured concert soloist on national tours and international conferences, captivating audiences with his virtuosic performances.Embracing New Music and Inspiring the Next Generation
As a proponent of new music, Koch has premiered numerous solo, saxophone quartet, reed quintet, and concerto works at various conferences and events. He is committed to teaching and regularly presents educational clinics, coaching, and lessons to students ranging from fifth grade to college-level and those preparing for professional auditions. Koch currently holds positions as a lecturer of saxophone and chamber music at George Washington University, as well as an adjunct professor of saxophone at Shepherd University.Fostering Artistic Collaborations and Enriching the Musical Landscape
In addition to his impressive performance and teaching credentials, Koch has also made significant contributions as an arts administrator. He was appointed the manager of Guest Artist Relations for the USAF Band and has directed collaborations with celebrated artists from across the musical spectrum. Previously, he managed, developed, and curated chamber music programs for the USAF Band at prestigious venues such as the Smithsonian American History Museum, National Gallery of Art, National Archives, and the Kennedy Center.
