Daniel Segura from the Fort Worth Police Department noted that the city's growth might be contributing to this uptick in criminal activity.

The police department unveiled maps during a city council presentation, marking high-risk areas in red. These hotspots included bustling locations such as the I-35 corridor leading into downtown and the vicinities around La Gran Plaza and Hulen Mall. Authorities emphasized that these areas attract considerable foot traffic, making them vulnerable targets for thieves.
