However, during challenging times like Tropical Storm Debby and Hurricane Helene, when Second Harvest couldn't deliver, she took it upon herself to start shopping at grocery stores as early as 6:00 am to stock their shelves. In addition to purchasing food, the Food Bank, Inc. welcomes donations from local grocery stores such as Aldi, Food World, and both Walmart stores. Panera Bread and Starbucks also contribute bread and pastry items. Schools, organizations, and individuals from the area also play a vital role in donating food items.
