Panthers Poised for Thrilling Home Opener
Florida Tech's men's basketball team is gearing up for an exciting 2024-25 season, with a packed schedule that promises to captivate fans. Tip-Off Challenge and Home Opener
The Panthers will kick off their season by participating in the SSC vs SIAC Tipoff Challenge, hosted by Rollins in Winter Park, Florida. On November 8, they'll take on Edward Waters, followed by a matchup against Spring Hill on November 9. The highly anticipated home opener is scheduled for November 23, when the Panthers will face off against Sunshine State Conference rival Saint Leo. The team will then host the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez on November 26, setting the stage for an electrifying start to the season.Thanksgiving Classic and Road Trips
The Panthers will close out the month of November by hosting the Florida Tech Thanksgiving Classic. They'll kick off the tournament on November 29 against the University of Puerto Rico-Bayamon and then wrap up the event on November 30 with a game against North Greenville. As the calendar flips to December, the team will embark on a three-game road trip, beginning with a conference showdown against Embry-Riddle in Daytona Beach on December 4. They'll then travel to Jacksonville for a Division I exhibition game against the Dolphins on December 5, before concluding the road trip in Lakeland, where they'll face off against Florida Southern on December 7.Home Stretch and Division I Exhibitions
The Panthers will return home for a conference matchup against Eckerd on December 17, followed by the Florida Tech Winter Classic, where they'll take on Trinity Baptist on December 20 and Dominican (N.Y.) on December 21. The team will cap off the 2024 calendar year with another Division I exhibition, this time against Florida Gulf Coast on December 22.Sunshine State Conference Showdowns
As the new year dawns, the Panthers will alternate between home and away games in the first seven contests of 2025. They'll hit the road to face Barry (January 4), Tampa (January 15), and Palm Beach Atlantic (January 22), while hosting Rollins (January 1), Lynn (January 8), Nova Southeastern (January 18), and Florida Southern (January 25). The month will conclude with a home matchup against Embry-Riddle on January 29, before the team hits the road again to take on Eckerd on February 1 and Rollins on February 5.Closing Out the Season
The final stretch of the season will see the Panthers alternate between home and away games once more. They'll travel to face Lynn (February 12), Nova Southeastern (February 22), and Saint Leo (March 1), while hosting Barry (February 8), Tampa (February 19), and Palm Beach Atlantic (February 26) for their Senior Day matchup. The Sunshine State Conference Championships are scheduled for March 4-9, with the NCAA Championships following from March 14-30.
