While most tested brands adhered to basic nutritional requirements, several raw dog food samples contained potentially harmful bacteria. Specifically, two frozen raw dog food products were found to harbor Listeria monocytogenes, a bacterium that poses significant risks not only to pets but also to humans. Both manufacturers responded differently to these findings, with one stating that internal tests did not detect contamination and the affected batch is no longer available.
