Driving Change: Christian Brothers Automotive's National Service Day Empowers Communities

Christian Brothers Automotive, a leading automotive repair and maintenance franchise, has announced the 14th edition of its annual National Service Day, a community-focused initiative that provides complimentary oil changes, free safety repairs, and other essential services to individuals in need. This initiative, which has become a cornerstone of the brand, aims to make a tangible difference in the lives of those who require assistance the most.

Empowering Communities, One Service at a Time

Fostering a Culture of Giving

Christian Brothers Automotive's National Service Day was originally conceived in 2005 by a franchisee in Austin, Texas, as a meaningful way to give back to the local community. Over the years, this single-day event has evolved into a company-wide initiative, with each CBA location having the opportunity to create its own unique plans for the day. From hosting family-friendly events with face painting, balloon artists, and DJs, to enlisting their teams and families to support local causes, the franchise owners go above and beyond to serve their communities. The dedication and compassion of these franchise owners are a testament to the brand's commitment to making a positive impact. As Christian Brothers Automotive prepares to open its 300th shop at the end of October, the energy to give back is stronger than ever. "We are blessed to serve our communities, and I'm incredibly proud of our franchise owners for their dedication to making this day impactful for those in need," said Donnie Carr, president & CEO of Christian Brothers Automotive.

Empowering the Next Generation

In addition to the community-focused efforts, the Christian Brothers Automotive Home Office hosted a special car care clinic as part of National Service Day. This hands-on event, held on Saturday, October 12, was designed to empower young women from Twst4Girls, a local nonprofit serving girls aged 11-17. The clinic covered essential car maintenance skills, such as changing a tire, understanding maintenance intervals, and how to communicate with auto repair professionals. This initiative aimed to equip participants with practical life skills and confidence when it comes to vehicle care, empowering them to take charge of their own transportation needs.

Reaching Those in Need

The recipients of the services provided during National Service Day are carefully selected through local outreach efforts, including community and church groups. This ensures that the support reaches those who need it most, making a tangible difference in the lives of individuals and families facing challenges. By leveraging their community connections and partnerships, Christian Brothers Automotive is able to identify and assist those who may not have the means or access to essential automotive services.

A Cornerstone of the Brand

Over the past decade, National Service Day has become a cornerstone of the Christian Brothers Automotive brand. Held annually on the second Saturday of October, with some locations hosting it the prior Saturday, this event has become a highly anticipated tradition within the company and the communities it serves. The franchise owners' dedication to this initiative is a testament to their commitment to making a positive impact and their unwavering belief in the power of community service. As Christian Brothers Automotive continues to grow and expand, the National Service Day initiative remains a crucial part of the brand's identity. It serves as a tangible expression of the company's values, showcasing its dedication to empowering communities and making a lasting difference in the lives of those in need.
