This volunteer position, starting in October 2024, is open to Edmonds residents aged 16 to 25 who are currently enrolled in high school or college-level classes during the 2024-2025 academic year.

The EAC is seeking a student representative who possesses strong leadership qualities and a passion for the visual, literary, or performing arts. The student representative's responsibilities will include attending the monthly EAC meetings, held in person on the first Monday of every month at 5:30 p.m. Additionally, they will have the chance to assist with various commission programs, depending on their interests and the current EAC initiatives. Potential projects may include organizing quarterly visual art exhibits in the Frances Anderson Center or Edmonds Sno-Isle Library, supporting the preparation and logistics for the annual Write on the Sound writers' conference, participating in the city's cultural planning processes and artist/performers selection review panels, and providing support for the summer concert program and other special projects.
